Paintings & More Paintings!

September 30, 2009
Teddy and Nibs really enjoyed all the paintings at The Getty Center, taking in works by Renoir, Gainsborough and Winterhalter. The Getty's permanent collection is really something worth exploring. If Monet's your thing, they have plenty of his pieces too!

  5. Does look very Dutch... Dutch painters were darker. they used a lot of black in their paintings. I think it could be French...

  8. OK, I will tell you: Claude Monet! I know, he usually did lily pads. But in his early days he paitned more conventional paintings like this one.

  9. By the way, Winterhalter is a very famous German painter and that is his MOST famous painting ever. Glad Teddy got a photo with it...
