Rainy Movie Day

February 27, 2010
With a storm coming into town, Teddy and Nibs thought it best to stay home today.

So they settled into one of their over sized chairs with a (fake) furry blanket.

Teddy chose the movie: Howard Hawks' Gentleman Prefer Blondes. Being a blonde herself, Teddy can relate to this film.

Marilyn Monroe plays a singer who wants to marry a rich nerd.

Her best friend, played by Jane Russell, has to keep her out of trouble until she gets to the altar.

It's a classic and one of Marilyn's highest grossing movies of all time.

Pretty In Pink

February 26, 2010
Teddy's paws were a mess after her trip to Palm Springs so she stopped by JB Nails on Robertson Blvd. this morning.

So many colors to choose from! Decisions, decisions...

Teddy went with her favorite: a nice shade of pink by OPI.

The manicurist insisted Teddy soak her claws in a bowl of soapy water.

Afterwards Teddy relaxed in one of JB's over sized leopard chairs. Awwww... so relaxing.

Teddy asked Nibs to come with her but he said there is just something wrong about a man getting a manicure. What do you think? Is Nibs wrong?

Teddy's McDonald's Run

February 25, 2010
Last night Nibs had to go out for a meeting, leaving Teddy with zero dinner. What was she going to do? Cook? Fat chance! So Teddy headed to the McDonald's Drive-Thru on LaCienega Blvd.

After paying she... her food (I know it's a big bag but she ordered extra cookies)...

...and headed home.

The first bite of a McDonald's cheeseburger is always the best.

Teddy saved no fries for Nibs. Sorry!

The Ride Home...

February 24, 2010
Nibs put a lot of miles on his Benz driving to and from Palm Springs, but it was worth it. The trip was a major success! No fights, no problems.

Getting back into L.A. traffic took some getting used to.

It was nice coming home though. Much colder than The Springs, however. Good thing the bears have a thick coat of fur!

Teddy was a polite passenger the entire time. Nibs thinks she napped a lot. He heard her snore now and then.

Back to real life. How long will it take the bears to adjust?

Water Balls

February 23, 2010
While sauntering back to her room after a long morning swim, Teddy stumbled upon an interesting courtyard at The Riviera.

Turns out there is a convention center on the property for business types to rent out. This place is massive!

Teddy was mesmerized by the water ball fountains that kept turning as water flowed over them. Kind of Star Trek-ish.

Nibs Not Feeling Too Well

February 22, 2010
There has been too much party-party time for poor Nibs. Today he rested in their room at The Riviera, munching on shortbread cookies and watching CNN. Hope you feel better Nibs!

Walking The Halls

February 22, 2010
Everything about The Riviera is over the top, even the hallways.

Teddy liked the chandeliers. In fact, she likes just about anything that sparkles.

Nibs is still sleeping. Yes, that was some night last night. Bad bears!

Palm Springs Party

February 22, 2010
Last night Teddy and Nibs partied it up in The Riviera's ultra glamorous lobby bar where pictures of celebrities from the 1960s and 1970s hung. Teddy thinks this is of Jackie O. who was married to President Kennedy and later married Greek shipping tycoon Aristotle Onasis, thus the O at the end of her name.

Teddy played hide and go seek with Nibs. She won.

There were mirrors everywhere. Teddy couldn't stop looking at herself. That Teddy is so vain!

Dinner at Circa 59

February 20, 2010
Teddy and Nibs lived it up at The Riviera's fancy restaurant Circa 59.

Teddy was very impressed with the red-and-black booths.

The menu was massive! Teddy could barely lift it.

Teddy was entranced with the red chandelier. She told Nibs she wanted one in their house.

The apple salad was most delicious. Nibs had the steak.

Of course they finished with a few desserts. One is never enough.

R&R 4 T&N

February 19, 2010
The Riviera is ultra retro. Look at this photo Teddy found of the resort back in the 50s. Beyond stylish.

Nibs needed a time out. He's exhausted from relaxing. Go figure.

Tonight the bears are hitting The Riviera's four star restaurant.... watch tomorrow for photos of the big night out!

Sun Therapy

February 19, 2010
Teddy and Nibs decided to hang out at The Riviera's smaller pool because there were absolutely ZERO people there. Teddy said it was bear-adise.

Teddy wanted to get some rays. She always says the sun helps her spirits.

Nibs deplores sunbathing and told Teddy to pack it up! He wanted to walk around a bit.

Sometimes that Nibs can get restless...

Pool Party!

February 19, 2010
The Riviera's pool is massive and colorful, just how Nibs likes it. But because it was a little cloudy out, no peeps came out for a dip. Even better! There's nothing worse than a crowded swimming pool.

The best thing about The Riviera's pool is that they have waiters who can bring you good stuff like banana shakes and club sandwiches.

Round The Riviera

February 18, 2010
After croissants and coffee in bed, Teddy and Nibs ventured around the hotel. Notice the snow on the mountains?

Nibs loved all the outdoor seating areas like this one with a fire pit.

The bears got lost several times. Good thing there were signs everywhere!

Luxurious Bath Quarters

February 18, 2010
Teddy just loves her spa-like, two-sink bathroom at The Riviera.

The mini shampoos and conditioners are first rate. Teddy plans on stuffing her suitcase with as many of these bottles as she can before she leaves.

The bathtub has Jacuzzi jets, perfect to release all that tension Nibs has pent up from dealing with a crazy wife. Teddy can't wait to get her fur sparkly clean.

Nibs was partial to the walk-in shower. No doors, no curtains, no problem!

Eggs Benedict In The Springs

February 17, 2010
This morning Teddy got up early for a change and rustled Nibs outta bed so they could hit The Riviera's Circa 59 for breakfast.

The restaurant was swishy. Check out the red chandelier. Nice!

Teddy grabbed the first table she saw. Nibs has never seen Teddy this hungry before. Must be the desert air.

Nibs ordered the Eggs Benedict.... why count calories when you're on vacation?
