Nibs Stops To Smell The Roses

November 29, 2010
That Nibs is full of surprises. He pretends to be a toughie, but deep inside he likes the softer things in life too, like roses.
These white Iceberg Roses caught his eye at Greystone. They smelled good!
Bears need the outdoors. It goes back to their roots in the wild.
Maybe that's why Teddy is always so cranky. She doesn't get out in the open often enough!

A Thanksgiving Stroll

November 29, 2010
Walking off the turkey feast is vital. That's why Tibs went for a stroll at Greystone mansion in Beverly Hills, their favorite place to unwind.
Teddy just loves the house, which was built in the 1920s and has been featured in such films as Spiderman and X-Men.
Nibs is fascinated by the architectural details, like this rod-iron fence...
...and this French light fixture.
More to come...

A Very Tibs Thanksgiving

November 29, 2010
How was your Turkey Day? Teddy and Nibs' was quite cozy. To get in the Thanksgiving mood, Teddy decorated the house in festive autumn colors...
...and she set the table for 8. Can't leave Fopsie and Herbert and Teddy's little sister Felicia out of the celebration!
There were plenty of flowers everywhere....
...and even a cupcake pyramid! YUMZIES.
And, yes, Teddy even did a little cooking (gasp!).
No fighting this year. Call it a T-day MIRACLE!

Burlesque

November 24, 2010
Teddy is so excited to see the movie Burlesque, which pairs legend Cher with acting newbie Christina Aguilera, that she bought the film's picture book Burlesque: The Motion Picture early.
Teddy just can't understand how Cher, who is 64!, continues to look so youthful.
Christina, as usual, looks like a tart. So much makeup!!!
Nibs noticed that Teddy was entranced in the book and said, "I don't think I can sit through that film, sorry."
"Well, I didn't invite you, Nibs!" Teddy snapped. "Fopsie is going with me." FEISTY!

The Villain of RHOBH

November 23, 2010
Keeping up with The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills has been a lot of fun for Teddy, especially now that the ladies are cat fighting (take cover Giggy!).
On last week's episode Camille Grammer (Kelsey's wife) made it clear she's a few melon balls short of a fruit salad when she took the crew (minus Adrienne) to New York City to see her husband's Broadway show.
Camille accuses Kyle Richards (Paris Hilton's aunt) of calling her insecure and nothing without her famous husband. Like, hello, Kyle is correct. But Camille, in her I-need-a-one-way-ticket-to-the-psycho-ward way gets it all twisted.
Kyle gets mad (and proves she's Botox free--check out her frown marks!) then calls Camille a f*&$#@ liar. Teddy was SHOCKED. Shocked!
To make matters worse, Kyle's on-the-verge-of-a-nervous-breakdown sister Kim doesn't stick up for her sibling. Shameful! Teddy would always stick up for her sister Felicia, no matter what.
The best is saved for last when Taylor Armstrong takes on Kim saying, "I'm gonna go all Oklahoma on your a*@#!" What language. Lisa Vanderpump manages to stay out of this mess, lucky her.

Christmas Previewing

November 22, 2010
Over the weekend, Teddy discovered that Nibs hasn't yet purchased an Xmas prezzie for her, ignoring her urges to shop early so as to avoid bloated shipping charges. So she hit the streets of Beverly Hills (Rodeo Drive to be exact) to find a bauble that would be easy for Nibs to swoop in and buy.
David Yurman has the most exquisite gems (and a nice selection of pearls). Should Teddy send Nibs there?
Or maybe Nibs should invest in a clover necklace at Van Cleef & Arpels for his favorite bear?
Teddy had great difficulty narrowing down her wish list.

Sister Time

November 19, 2010
With the holidays fast approaching, Teddy thought it might be a good idea to spend some time with her little sister Felicia. So she asked her to meet up at Ugo in Culver City for brunch.
Felicia arrived late, as usual! But Teddy tried to overlook her sister's tardiness. She didn't want any fighting today. (That's Felicia on the left and Teddy on the right, in case you get confused!)
Teddy ordered the Eggs Benedict, as usual, and asked Felicia how everything was going...
Felicia ordered some kind of omelet situation and asked Teddy if she was getting along with Nibs.
"You think Nibs and I fight all the time, don't you?" asked Teddy. "Well, we don't!" So much for a peaceful brunch.
Felicia (above) looked shocked that Teddy was being so feisty. (It really can't be easy being Teddy's little sister, can it?)

Teddy's Teddy

November 18, 2010
When Teddy can't sleep...
She grabs her Teddy Bear. No, not Nibs. But a little stuffed bear named Lily.
I guess everyone needs a bear to hold now and then...

Fopsie Drops Some Hints

November 17, 2010
With marriage on her mind, Fopsie invited Herbert over for root beer and cookies in her backyard.
"Herbert, don't you think two is better than one?" she asked coyly. "Yes, I do," said Herbert.
"And don't you believe that there is such a thing as soul mates?" she added. "Well, yes," said Herbert.
"These cookies are delicious!" said Herbert. Fopsie was crestfallen. Herbert didn't seem to be getting the point.
When Herbert saw a small tear roll down Fopsie's fur, he jumped into her seat. "What is it Fops?" he asked....

Teddy Wants Her Bling!

November 16, 2010
This morning Teddy made Nibs breakfast and coffee. Awww, so sweet of her.
After the meal, Nibs realized why Teddy was being so nice: she wanted something.
Teddy explained that Christmas was right around the corner and if Nibs wanted to save money on shipping he better order now! She passed him a Ross-Simons catalog to peruse jewelry.
"Diamonds Nibs, please, and nothing under $3,000," said Teddy. She even slid him the phone so he could order ASAP.
That Teddy, so demanding. But maybe she does deserve a little something. She's been wearing that same old pearl necklace for ages!

It's Complicated

November 15, 2010
This weekend Teddy caught It's Complicated on HBO. Nibs refused to watch, saying it was a Chick Flick.
Meryl Streep stars as a divorcee in this 2009 comedy from director Nancy Meyers. She gets caught up in an affair with her ex-husband played by the superbly hilarious Alec Baldwin.
Life for Meryl's harried, middle-aged baker gets "complicated" when she also starts romancing her architect, played by the wooden Steve Martin.
Teddy could never imagine dating an ex. She hasn't even spoken to her ex, a swarthy Italian named Beffalo, for over a decade!
Meryl ends up with the architect which is a sound choice because you just can't recycle husbands! Teddy hopes she never has to. Though she complains about her Nibs, she couldn't live without her bow-tied better half! Awww...

Teddy's Choice

November 12, 2010
Today Teddy spent the afternoon reading Choose to be Happily Married: How Everyday Decisions Can Lead to Lasting Love.
Of course Nibs had to butt his furry head in and start asking questions.
And then he insisted that they read the book together so that they could both learn how to improve their marriage.
Teddy just gave in, because that's what the book said to do! See, Teddy has already made her first DECISION to be happily married. What a good bear!

In A Wedding Way

November 11, 2010
With marriage on her mind, Fopsie started to see wedding stuff everywhere, like at this Claire Pettibone store on Robertson Blvd. that sells wedding gowns. Gorgeous wedding gowns.
Is this really what Fops wants? She's always been a career gal. Does she now want to be a doting wife to a businessman?
So much to think over!
