Royal Wedding

April 29, 2011
Of course Teddy had to watch the Royal Wedding! She invited her sister Felicia over to take in Prince William and Kate Middleton's big day and discuss all the important things, like Kate's dress, ring, hair... and there was also something Teddy wanted to discuss with Felicia!
William and Kate looked serious during the ceremony. "Felicia, do you ever want to get married?" Teddy asked as a way to lure her sister into a conversation about Edward. "Why yes Teddy, of course," replied Felicia.
Teddy and Felicia were both surprised that Kate was given such a thin gold band. "Felicia would you want to wear a band when you marry Edward?" Teddy asked. Not very subtle! "Teddy, what are you talking about?" asked a shocked Felicia.
The bears turned their attention away from the wedding to talk. "I saw Edward putting his paw on your knee the other night," said Teddy. "Tee hee, he did!" said Felicia. "And he asked me out on a date!"
"Felicia, I had no idea you would be attracted to a bear like Edward," said Teddy. "I should have matchmade the two of you sooner! Sorry I didn't think of you earlier." TEDDY SAID SHE WAS SORRY! STOP THE PRESSED. "It's OK Teddy," said the always understanding Felicia. "But let's not tell Fopsie till after her wedding to Herbert next week."
As the sisters sat together watching the rest of the royal splash, they bonded like they never have before. Felicia had a new bear in her life. Teddy finally told someone she was "sorry." Big changes. Teddy could relate to Kate, who was experiencing some big changes herself that very same day: in one hour she went from commoner to princess. Change is good.

Menchie's Break

April 28, 2010
There was so much on Teddy's mind yesterday--Felicia's flirtation with Edward, the Royal Wedding that takes place on Friday--that this bear had to take a time out. So she headed to Menchie's in Beverly Hills for some frozen yogurt.
It wasn't a bad idea either. With temperatures hovering around 90 degrees all day, Teddy needed something to cool her down. She loves how at Menchie's she can fill her own cup just the way she wants.
Teddy loaded up on vanilla and strawberry/kiwi flavors with chocolate Jimmies for a topping. To Teddy, this is a healthy meal.
Before she left the small green and pink store she took one last look at the toppings. Should she bring Nibs a treat home? Or should she take another yogurt home for herself for later? Decisions, decisions.

The Day After Talk

April 27, 2011
The day after the big revelation that Edward might be interested in Felicia (remember he had his paw on her knee), Teddy grilled Nibs over a breakfast that consisted of a bagel (for Nibs) and a cinnamon roll (for Teddy).
"Nibs, what is going on, how did this happen, what am I going to do?" Teddy started off nervously (too much morning coffee, Teddy?).
"Teddy, I would think that you'd be happy about this," replied Nibs. "It's like accidental matchmaking. You didn't even know you were doing it, but the results are perfect. It's by time Felicia had a special bear in her life."
"But Felicia isn't just any bear, she's my sister!" said Teddy. "That Edward better treat her right! Remember how he flew off to Hong Kong leaving Fopsie in the dust?" That Teddy. The glass is always half empty for her...

What Happened Next...

April 26, 2011
After Teddy's Chinese dinner, she served coffee and chocolate cookies in the living room. That's when the conversation got livelier, thank goodness!
Edward spoke of his summer plans to visit Mexico and Felicia giggled a lot (!). Teddy wasn't sure what to make of Felicia's flirtatiousness.
Nibs seemed oblivious to anything going on around him. He just nibbled on his cookies.

But Teddy was noticing a lot. Her bear instincts were running wild! Edward and Felicia were sitting very close together and she was smiling a lot.
Look at how Edward had his paw on Felicia's knee! Teddy felt like protective and wanted to say, "Get your paws off my sister," but then all of a sudden Nibs pinched Teddy and said, "Act cool."

The Dinner

April 25, 2011
On Saturday night Teddy had Edward over for dinner to discuss matchmaking him with a lovely bear. After all, he was sad and lonely since his split from Fopsie and he needed help. She also invited her sister Felicia too to round out the group.
Nibs was relieved that Teddy had ordered Chinese food from Wok On Fire on La Cienega Blvd. and not attempted to cook herself. You may recall that she once food-poisoned poor Nibs with some rotten pasta dish!
Teddy started talking to Edward about the type of bear he wanted to date. Her questions were specific, like what color fur he preferred and if a college education was required. Teddy thought she was being very dutiful in her matchmaking research.
It seemed like Teddy was doing all the talking! Felicia was very quiet, almost shy around Edward. And Edward just stared at his food. Teddy wasn't really sure what was going on. Her normally acute bear instincts must have been on hiatus.
Had Teddy's matchmaking skills dwindled? Was her dinner a bomb? Teddy was starting to think either the Chinese food was so delicious that no one wanted to chit chat or that she had lost her hostessing talents completely.
The dinner dragged on forever this way and Teddy wanted to scream. But she didn't. She just nibbled on her Chinese food like everyone else.

Emily Maynard and Brad Womack Split!

April 22, 2011
Teddy took some time out of her cooking to check on her favorite reality star, Emily Maynard. Life & Style magazine is reporting that she and her Bachelor find Brad Womack are done, over, finished, kaput!
The story reports that Emily believed Brad was cheating. He probably was. Teddy's pal in Austin, Texas, a very social gal named Monica, says that Brad is always hitting on the ladies. What a shame. He's almost 40 and just can't settle down? Teddy can't wait to hear his side of the story when ABC grills him next month.

Cooking Time

April 21, 2011
This evening Teddy is going to have Edward over for dinner to discuss how she can "matchmake" him. This is a lot of pressure for our little bear because she's not the best cook. Her first step was to see what she had in her cupboards.
Mac 'n' Cheese is one of Teddy's favorites, but it is not the type of meal you serve to guests. Pasta could be an option, but that's just too simple.... Hmmm.
All Teddy could find in the next cupboard was Chocolate Chip cookie mix from Betty Crocker. Teddy wanted to make those yummy cookies right away and dunk them in milk. You see how easily Teddy gets sidetracked?
The fridge didn't help Teddy's dilemma out any. In fact, it looked like a mess! That's it, Teddy needs to go to Trader Joe's!
Well, at least Teddy had enough wine in her wine cabinet. At least one thing was in good supply!

Teddy Takes The Bus!

April 20, 2011
This morning Nibs took the Benz to hit the gym so Teddy was left on her own. Refusing to sit at home to wait for him like a 1950s housewife, Teddy took the bus!
Teddy stumbled upon this vintage-looking vehicle and wondered where it would take her.
It looked legit--it had the Beverly Hills logo on it, after all--and like it would take her someplace fun!
The door was open. Should Teddy get in?

New Wheels For Nibs?

April 19, 2011
While wandering around Beverly Hills yesterday, Teddy stumbled upon this red ride parked on Canon Drive.
Nibs has always said he wanted a Ferrari. He only drives a Mercedes-Benz sedan now because he knows Teddy likes the comfort of it.
A convertible might be just the ticket for the summer months when Nibs wants the wind to run through his fur as he takes Teddy to Paradise Cove in Malibu for brunch.

Easter Candy

April 18, 2011
With Easter less than a week away, Teddy felt the need to check out the assortment of Easter candy out there and started with Madame Chocolat in Beverly Hills.
The window displays were overflowing with all sorts of spring goodies.
There's nothing better than a chocolate Easter bunny. Teddy likes to nibble on their ears.
And then there are the eggs: so many of them and all looking to be gobbled up by a hungry bear!
How much chocolate can Teddy consume in one day you ask? Maybe two pounds or so...Nibs, on the other hand, eats far less.

Green Dry Cleaning

April 14, 2011
While Nibs hung out with his pal Edward, Teddy got some serious work done! Yesterday she went to the dry cleaners, can you believe it?
Teddy's dry cleaning shop, Mitage Cleaners on Robertson Blvd. in Los Angeles, is completely green, as in they don't use chemicals that are harmful to the environment.
They are full service and even have a tailoring department, you know, to adjust Nibs' new bowties just so...
The guy who works there is pretty nice too. He says he likes having bears as customers because they're friendly. Teddy always fills him in on her matchmaking efforts and what's new with her friends.
Mitage Cleaners also cleans and stores wedding dresses. This will be great for Fopsie after she's worn her wedding dress on May 7. Can you believe that her wedding is less than a month away? And Kate Middleton's is in two weeks? My how time flies.

Nibs And Edward Have A Talk

April 13, 2011
Edward stopped by Nibs' house for a chat last night when he knew Teddy wasn't around.
"Do you think this matchmaking thing Teddy is doing is such a good idea?" asked Edward. "I feel nervous about it."
Nibs said he was in good hands with Teddy and to just go through with it. After all, she has had success in the past (though Nibs didn't want to mention Fopsie was the one she match!).

Emily Maynard Moving To Austin, Texas!

April 12, 2011
Last night while Teddy and Fopsie were discussing wedding planning (the cake must be vanilla, they decided), Fopsie dropped some information on Emily Maynard, the Barbie Blonde from The Bachelor.
Fopsie revealed that Emily is looking for a two bedroom condo in downtown Austin, Texas so she can be closer to Brad. Emily refuses to live with Brad before they get married (this is what Teddy did with Nibs; smart move Emily!)
Emily won't move West from her two-story brick home in Charlotte, North Carolina until Little Ricki is out of school, which will be in early June. Nice to see Emily puts her daughter first.
Teddy wishes Emily luck. It's not easy starting a new relationship, especially with a celebrity and known playboy like Brad. And it sure isn't a breeze moving to a new city. At first, Teddy had difficulty adjusting from Santa Barbara to Los Angeles.

Britney Spears Is A Femme Fatale!

April 11, 2011
In an effort to make Teddy's day, Nibs surprised his bear with a gift. The way he settled on the present was to think of the most hideous, loathsome and tacky new product on the market. That's how he stumbled upon Britney Spears' new album Femme Fatale.
BINGO! Teddy absolutely loved the CD! "Nibs, I have been wanting to purchase Britney's new album for a while, how did you know I needed this?" she asked. "Teddy, I just had a feeling," was all Nibs was willing to say.
Teddy said Britney's song "Hold It Against Me" was one of her new faves and she couldn't wait to play it in their Benz. "Teddy, maybe only play this CD when you are home alone so that you can completely appreciate all of its qualities," said the clever Nibs.
"This summer Britney will be touring and I think we should go to her L.A. stop at the Staples Center," said Teddy. Now his wifie had just gone too far! She clearly had no clue that Nibs was not a Britney fan...

Jennifer Aniston In Beverly Hills

April 7, 2011
After Teddy's shopping expedition at Tiffany & Co., she strode through the Beverly Canon Gardens, a public park built between the two towers that make up The Montage. Teddy once saw Jennifer Aniston walking through the Gardens on her way to the restaurant Buchon, nested in the North tower. She was wearing a tight black dress and had 4 inch heels and was alone (she doesn't have a Nibs in her life, sad for her!).
The gardens have a Mediterranean influence that make Teddy feel like she's in Florence or Madrid. Teddy loves to feel like she's in Europe! Too bad Teddy didn't see any celebrities today, but Teddy doesn't really like celebrities so it wasn't a big deal.
What Teddy likes most about the park is that it has two colors: green and beige. This calms Teddy's frayed nerves. Also, Teddy likes that she blends into the beige limestone. That way her "fans" (which she thinks she has!) don't bombard her while she's trying to relax. That Teddy!
Can you guess Teddy's very favorite part of the Gardens? The fountains! Teddy is obsessed with these water spewers ever since she saw the film Three Coins In A Fountain, lushly filmed in Rome, Italy. Ann-Margret starred. And like a true romantic, every time she sees a fountain, she throws in a coin.
Maybe the next time Jennifer is in Beverly Canon Gardens she should drop a coin in one of their many fountains, like this weird multi spout configuration. Not that the actress needs any help. But Teddy truly feels that no girl can be totally happy unless she has a "Nibs" around. Oh no! Does Teddy want to match make Jennifer too? You bet!
