Teddy Takes State Street!

After her pastry pause, Teddy took to State Street in Santa Barbara with vigor. Her first stop was the fabulous Coach outlet.

So many fun styles to check out!

Nibs waited patiently outside while Teddy perused the new purses.

She settled on a pink wallet, a gift for her friend Madeline who has a birthday coming up.

The prices are incredible and Teddy, that savvy bear, even managed to get an extra 20% off.

The sales lady was very nice but said not a lot of bears shop on State Street. Hmmm, weird, thought Teddy.

Teddy Goes Back

Over Labor Day weekend, Nibs took Teddy back to Andersens, the bakery she used to work at in Santa Barbara (you know, the one where she got her paw stuck in the bread machine). Nibs thought it would be good therapy for her to go back and see how far she's come since her bread making days.

Teddy was very nervous, but once she entered the place she realized that it was completely different, like new decor and staff. She relaxed a bit.

Teddy looked at the menu but wasn't interested in lunch. She just wanted a pastry. Sheesh, she thought. This bakery wasn't as scary as she had remembered.

Teddy looked over the pastry case and was delighted to see they still had all her favorites!

While Nibs sipped coffee, Teddy nibbled on a marzipan cake. Soooo yummy.

Teddy felt cured! Her bad feelings about her old life drifted away as she got lost in her cake and coffee. What a great day for this bear.

Teddy Still Cleaning...

No rest for the weary! Teddy was back to cleaning today, this time tackling the guest bathroom.

Teddy had no idea just how much dirt builds up!

She's going to give her maid a raise. This work is back breaking for a little bear.

And how do cobwebs form over night? Teddy is flabbergasted by it all. But she remains cool under pressure. And chic! Today Teddy has on her Kate Spade silk scarf. You like?

Teddy Cleans Up!

The bears had a "talk" about that scratch Teddy put on Nibs' Mercedes-Benz, which resulted in a deal: to make up for her blunder, Teddy would clean the house for one week, letting their maid go on vacation.

Teddy hasn't cleaned anything since her pre-Nibs days when she worked in a bakery in Santa Barbara. That's where Nibs found her and saved her from a life of minimum wage!

Teddy was pretty grumpy about all the work she had to do, but then she put on the new Katy Perry CD and lightened up.

By late morning, she was kind of into it. Look how sparkly their pewter vase turned out after some of Teddy's elbow grease!

9021PHO Date Night

While Teddy and Nibs squabbled over the scratch on Nibs' Benz, Fopsie was getting on with her life nicely. Herbert called for yet another date and last night they met up at Beverly Hills' 9021PHO (Herbert's suggestion).

Herbert was very cordial and said he missed Fops. It had been a week since their last date. So romantic!

Fops said she didn't know what to order because she wasn't used to having Vietnamese food.

Herbert said not to worry and he ordered them up a plate of Cilantro Chicken with Brown Rice. Deee-licious!

Luckily, the conversation was much easier this time around and Herbert went on and on about his boarding school upbringing in Bedfordshire, England. Fopsie was intrigued! He said he had to wear a uniform and everything...

What's a Little Scratch?

This morning Teddy was enjoying the latest issue of Vanity Fair magazine. So many good articles to read, like the cover story about Lady Gaga.

Gaga dresses funny but at least she's not boring! Did you know she's only 24 years old?

Just as Teddy was getting into the story, Nibs approached her. He looked stern.

"Did you take my Benz out for a spin?" asked Nibs. Teddy replied, "Uh, um, uh."

Then Nibs made Teddy go outside and look at the scratch. "It wasn't me! It wasn't me!" Teddy said over and over... Uh-oh! Will Teddy get in trouble?

This morning when Nibs was walking to his Mercedes-Benz, he noticed something a little wrong with his car.

It looked a little dirtier than usual...

...and on the right front fender there was a scratch!

A little white scratch. Can you see it?

Nibs started to wonder if someone, some bear!, had taken his wheels out. Hmmm. He will have to talk to that Teddy ASAP!
