Brrrr... It's Cold Outside!

It's been cold and rainy in San Francisco, but that hasn't stopped the bears from sight-seeing in the City By The Bay! This morning they visited the Marin Headlands.


The view of the Golden Gate Bridge was breathtaking. The bridge is constantly under maintenance to fend off erosion from the salty sea air.


Nibs never knew there were so many trees on the coastline. He looked for sharks and seals but didn't see any.

MangaRosa For Dinner

Last night Nibs took Teddy to MangaRosa, a romantic Brazilian restaurant in the North Beach section of San Francisco.


The menu was exotic. Nibs pointed out the unusual desserts to Teddy, like the Coconut Flan and Mango Creme Brulee.


For dinner Teddy had the scallops with pasta and mushrooms in a cream sauce.


Nibs kept it light with a butter lettuce salad dressed with mango, cheese and cranberries.


Nibs sure is glad he flew up to San Francisco to find Teddy! Not only are they getting along great, but they're eating like royalty. Let's hope the fun lasts...

The Romance Is Back!

After a long talk at The Pelican Inn, Teddy and Nibs reached an agreement: they would hit the gym together. To celebrate their truce Nibs took Teddy to The St. Francis Yacht Club in the Marina for brunch.


Teddy and Nibs just love the view and how seals swim right up to the club's window.


Yes, even bears smooch. Get a room you bears!


Nibs was as hungry as, well... as a bear! All that drama made him famished.


He ordered his #1 fave brunch item: Eggs Benedict. His dieting days are officially over, rover.

The Big Talk!

After some small talk in the pub, Teddy and Nibs had a real talk out in the garden. Nibs wanted some answers!


Teddy explained that she got so mad at Nibs for living in the gym, she flew North. Nibs said he was just trying to get in shape to look good for Teddy. Bears!

Teddy arrived at The Pelican Inn 10 minutes late.


She acted like everything was fine...


...and sat down at a candle lit table with casual ease.


Nibs was shocked. Was Teddy playing one of her games?

Nibs Calls A Meeting

Nibs finally got Teddy on her cell phone. He insisted they have a meeting and suggested The Pelican Inn at Muir Beach because it was cozy and offered some privacy.


Nibs got there early to check the place out. It looked much like an old English Inn...


...and even had quaint details like this outdoor lamp.


As soon as Nibs entered the bar he ordered a beer. He needed something to settle his nerves.


He had no idea what to expect from Teddy.

...is eating like a horse! While Nibs furiously combs the Bay Area for Teddy, Teddy takes in lunch at Caffe Acri in Tiburon.


The menu looked perfect: lots of treats!


The atmosphere was good too. Molto Italiano.


Teddy started with a ham and cheese sandwich then enjoyed a Diet Coke.


Afterwards she had dessert. She couldn't decide what to get so she ordered a few things to sample.


Teddy started to wonder if Nibs was looking for her. Maybe she should give him a call?

Could Teddy Be In Sausalito?

Nibs ventured into Sausalito to look for Teddy.


He drove down Bridgeway Avenue, but saw no Teddy. He even looked into one of her favorite restaurants, Scoma's. But no Teddy.


The seagulls didn't know where Teddy was either.

Nibs Searches San Fran

After Nibs got situated in his San Francisco hotel he set out on foot to find Teddy.


He walked the Marina area, where Teddy in the past has liked to chase seagulls. No Teddy there.


Then Nibs looked to Marin, across the bay. Could Teddy be there? Nibs knows Teddy likes Sausalito.

Nibs had a good flight to San Francisco. He took Virgin America because they know how to treat bears.


His head was full of questions about Teddy. It was too much. So he turned on his entertainment unit for distraction.


The coast looked nice with the sunshine. Nibs made a wish: that he could find Teddy in the City By The Bay.

Tired of Teddy not taking his calls, Nibs headed to Los Angeles Airport to get a flight up to San Francisco. Yes, he's chasing Teddy!


Nibs just can't understand Teddy's behavior. Why would she take off like that?


Is she tired of Nibs? Is there another bear in her life? Did she lose her phone?


Nibs has been busy with his new workout schedule lately. Could that be why Teddy is upset, Nibs wondered.


Nibs has no idea where Teddy is staying in San Francisco but he just can't sit in L.A. and wonder. He has to find his bear!

Pizza Party For One!

Last night Teddy went straight from the airport to her favorite pizza parlor: Waypoint on Main Street in Tiburon. Tiburon means "shark" and back in the day there used to be lots of sharks in the San Francisco Bay. But not today. Just a few small Tiger Sharks. They'll bite you but they won't rip your paw off or anything like that.


Teddy refused to answer Nibs' calls on her cell as she perused Waypoint's menu.


Her vegetarian pizza was delicious. But then she started thinking, "Wouldn't it be nice to share this with Nibs?"


Teddy may seem like a tough cookie but the truth is she can't be happy for long without her Nibs. It's just a matter of time before she caves in and takes his call!

Teddy Takes Off! Bye Bye Nibs

Teddy was so mad at Nibs for ignoring her that she headed to the Los Angeles airport to jet outta town.


Teddy used Nibs' credit card to buy a Virgin America Airlines ticket to San Francisco, her favorite city.


It felt weird flying alone. Usually Nibs is there to hold her paw.


But once the plane got loaded and locked she started to have fun. Teddy likes adventures.


What will Nibs think when he reads Teddy's "see ya" note at home?

Where Did My Nibs Go?

Nibs has been doing his own thing all week. Teddy misses Nibs. She liked it better when they spent their days together, like when they splashed in the shore of Malibu just last month. Awww, the glory days.


How can Teddy get through to Nibs? Some days she just wants to hang her fuzzy head down and weep.

Teddy's To Go Night

With Nibs absent yet again, Teddy ventured out by herself for some take-out dinner. She decided to try Chapa Grill on Wilshire Blvd. because her friend Fopsie has raved about it.


The menu was simple. Chapa serves mostly Rotisserie Chicken and then has Middle Eastern sides like Hummus and that tomato/cucumber salad thing. Teddy doesn't know the name of that.


Everything is made fresh at Chapa.


Teddy likes that Chapa serves Coca-Cola, not Pepsi. Teddy has never liked Pepsi. Coke is it!


Teddy took her dinner for one home all by her lonesome.
