This morning while the bears were reading the newspaper and sipping coffee, they got into a tiff.
Teddy said that SHE is the one who helped Fopsie find happiness by introducing her to Herbert while Nibs only made mistakes.
Nibs argued back that he contributed to Fopsie's happiness because he set her up with Mr. Brown and Edward, and although those bears didn't work out, they at the very least got Fops used to the idea of dating again.
Teddy said that was a ridiculous argument and that those guys only hurt poor Fops. As you may recall, Mr. Brown already had a girlfriend and Edward had to suddenly move to Hong Kong.
Nibs told Teddy that she must have woken up on the wrong side of the bed and he took off. Poor Teddy. Now she has to spend the day alone!

First Smooch
August 12, 2010
The call came! Fopsie had another date with Herbert yesterday in the late afternoon. He took her to Palisades Park in Santa Monica to watch the sunset.
Fopsie was nervous. What if Herbert had some bad news for her, like that he was moving back to England?
She fidgeted a lot as they sipped bottled water and looked at the passersby.
After a little walk, Herbert told Fops he was so glad to have met her. He then asked her out for a date on Saturday night!
Fops was so happy she gave him a big smooch on his furry cheek!

Edward?
August 11, 2010
On her way out of The Grove, Fopsie passed by a poster for the new Drew Barrymore movie Going The Distance. It's about having a long-distance relationship. This made Fopsie think about Edward. Could she have dated him even though he moved to Hong Kong?
Fopsie was curious. It could have worked. But then again, the flight is awfully long! Thirteen hours, to be exact. That would make Saturday night date nights ridiculously exhausting.
As Fops paid for her parking her mind drifted to Herbert. She wondered when he'd call again...

Fopsie Takes A Time Out
August 11, 2010
Fopsie feels like her love life is going too fast. I mean, three bears in three weeks?! It's almost too much for her. So she took a day off to chill at The Grove.
Fops just loves French food so she headed to Monsieur Marcel. Wanting to keep her figure nice for Herbert, who seems like a really excellent catch, she wanted to order light.
So she decided upon the chicken salad with light balsamic dressing.
Fops was able to unwind in this French hideaway that's full of charm. Tres magnific!
Toward the end of the meal Fopsie broke down and had some baguette slices with butter.
Oh well. Herbert seems like the type of man who prefers a bear with a little meat on her bones, right?

First Date For Fopsie and Herbert
August 10, 2010
First meeting! Fopsie was very nervous to meet a third suitor. Third time lucky? Or three strikes and you're out? Herbert called Fopsie up yesterday and asked her to meet him at Chic on Pico Blvd., a French restaurant Nibs had highly recommended.
Herbert was waiting by the front door for Fopsie. She had an instant attraction. She's always liked the swarthy types! Tall, dark and handsome: he fit the bill!
Together they sat at a small table and traded stories. Fopsie was really into Herbert's British accent. And his fancy bow tie!
Fopsie felt so comfortable with Herbert she ordered the Fish N Chips. What an indulgence!
And in a very classy move, Herbert paid the bill as soon as it hit the table. A true gentleman.
Fopsie was so intrigued by Herbert that she totally forgot about her previous dating disasters with Mr. Brown and Edward. Looks like Fops won't be eating Haagen-Dazs in bed tonight.

Herbert Gets Bow Tied
August 9, 2010
Finally, Herbert was allowed to open his gift from Teddy. He was not surprised to find a bow tie! After all, Teddy had been chattering on and on about the importance of bow ties all day.
Still, Herbert thought it was very kind of Teddy to buy him a present. She even helped him put the thing on!
Herbert had to agree with Teddy. The bow tie look was far more sophisticated than the sweater look.
Once Herbert was seated, Teddy had some news for him. "I have a wonderful bear to set you up with," said Teddy. "But you must treat her like a princess!"
Herbert said he was ready. He really wasn't sure if he was ready. After all, he had just landed in America and hadn't even furnished his apartment yet. But Teddy insisted he was ready because he had met all her requirements: he was single, he had a good job and he wasn't planning on moving to Hong Kong anytime soon. Herbert had no idea Teddy was so bossy!

Goodbye Sweater!
August 9, 2010
Before Herbert was allowed to open his Brooks Brothers box, Teddy told him that he had to get rid of his sweater.
Herbert said it was made with the finest wool England had to offer and was the cool look across the pond.
Teddy said, "Herbert, you're in L.A. now! It's too hot here for sweaters." He guessed she had a point with that.
Herbert was very confused by all this, but listened to Teddy because she was so bossy he was afraid to defy her. "How does Nibs deal with this?" Herbert wondered to himself.
