A Mini Tiffany

October 21, 2009
The Century City Mall also has a mini Tiffany & Co. Teddy loves getting those little blue boxes from Nibs, but lately she's wondered about Tiffany's. They've been raising their prices almost 10% every year for the past 10 years and they haven't slowed with the recession. Does that seem right to you? It doesn't to Teddy!

Teddy Goes to the Mall...

October 21, 2009
On this sunny L.A. day Teddy decided to look around Westfield's Century City mall because it's outdoors and full of fun shops. (Teddy likes to start her Christmas shopping early!) There are so many stores there, including a spacious Louis Vuitton and a new H&M that is being built as we speak. Spend the day with Teddy as she shows you around the place.

See's Halloween Candy

October 20, 2009
See's makes some of the freshest Halloween treats around. Teddy stopped by the See's in Century City this morning to stock up on candy for her pals. Luckily they have themed packaging so Teddy won't have to wrap up the chocolate boxes herself. The best part about shopping at See's? Whenever you step in the door (you don't even have to buy anything!) they give you a free sample. Teddy opted for the Bordeaux with milk chocolate. Teddy always thought Bordeaux tasted like chocolate chip cookie dough, but it's not. After logging onto www.sees.com Teddy learned Bordeauxs are made of brown sugar and buttercream wrapped in chocolate. Not a bad way to start the day!

Halloween Cards

October 19, 2009
Papyrus at The Beverly Center has the most delightful card collection. Teddy found her Halloween cards there and has already started sending a few out. She always goes for those old-fashioned themes, never anything modern. Teddy is convinced she had a past life in the 18th century. That zany Teddy!

Halloween Decorations!

October 19, 2009
Getting the house together for Halloween is one of Teddy's favorite things to do. Nibs isn't into this kind of activity and decided to watch sports instead (!). This year Teddy is using lots of sparkly ornaments. It's been so gray lately with this overcast weather, which is a pleasant change from the persistent L.A. sun but is also a bit spoooooky, that Teddy thought adding some pizzazz would do everyone good. Have you decorated already?

A Little Brazilian

October 17, 2009
Last night Nibs felt like a little Brazilian so he took Teddy to Bossa Nova on South Beverly Drive in Beverly Hills. They're famous for their plantains. Nibs ordered the grilled salmon with white rice and, of course, plantains. Deee-licious! Teddy had the steak with salsa. Bossa Nova was just the right place for a warm autumn evening.

Whiskey Blue is Red!

October 16, 2009
The W is an odd place. Outside it's sunny and bright. Inside it's so dark you can barely see your way around! These photos from inside The W in Westwood were taken at 12 noon, but it looks more like 12 midnight! Teddy and Nibs walked around The W's dark red bar called Whiskey Blue, which is run by Cindy Crawford's husband Rande Gerber. It's described as "Polynesian inspired" but the theme is more "vampire cave." Also, why is the bar called Whiskey Blue when there is no blue anywhere? The place should be renamed Whiskey Red! Teddy and Nibs were very confused.
