Frank Talk Over Herbert

Teddy finally met up with Fopsie yesterday at the Beverly Canon park by the Montage in Beverly Hills and boy oh boy was the conversation bizarre! On both ends!

First off, Teddy had to tell her pal that Mr. Farnsworth was on the loose. "He was just going for a walk, Teddy!" was all Fopsie would say. Teddy has never owned a rooster, but she's not sure they go for walks like bears do.

Teddy asked how Herbert was and Fops replied, "He's the best, but I have some worries." Oh no. Teddy is terrified that this relationship could crumble. Herbert is kind of... different.

"Likkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkke?" asked Teddy. Teddy feared the worst. She knows her cousin can be a very, er, eccentric bear.

"Let's take a stroll around the grounds," suggested Fops. "I am a little concerned about Herbert. He often drops his English accent. What is that about?"

"Well, he's not really British," said Teddy. "He just likes to try out different countries and different accents now and then."

Fopsie's Rooster Is Loose!

Fopsie has not been answering her phone lately (?!) so today Teddy went to visit her old pal at her house.

Fopsie didn't answer her doorbell (oh yeah, duh, Fopsie is at work!), but Teddy did see Fops' pet rooster wandering the street.

Teddy tried to catch Mr. Farnsworth (that's his name!) but he kept slipping through her paws.

Here's a better look at Mr. Farnsworth... Isn't he a good looking bird?

The Beverly Hills Hotel Boring?

Teddy thought hanging at The Beverly Hills Hotel would be fun, but it was actually kind of dull.

After dining at The Polo Lounge Teddy walked around the grounds looking for movie stars, but, sadly, found none. Sigh.

After that she checked out the lobby, touching the flowers. They were real!

The art work was lovely too. So fancy pants!

OK, time to go home to Nibs!

Teddy Hits Back!

Nibs was happy to come home. He missed Teddy. He needs his breaks, but the truth is, he can't stay away from his favorite bear for long. But when he got home there was no sign of Teddy, only a handwritten note on the dining room table.

This was odd indeed. Teddy leaving Nibs a note? What can this be about?

Then Nibs read it. Now he got it. Teddy was retaliating. If he was going to spend a few nights at a hotel, she was going to do the same.

Only instead of staying at the affordable Century Plaza, Teddy has chosen The Beverly Hills Hotel. That Teddy!

Peace and Quiet

Last night Nibs really enjoyed all the peace and quiet his hotel room provided.

He even got to read a few local magazines like L.A. Confidential, which featured the Kardashian girls on the cover. Nibs has no idea who they are but he hears Teddy talk about them.

Then he wondered if Teddy was going to call him and order him home. She's been awfully quiet these days...

Nibs started to think that it's really time for him to go home. He can't run away forever.

Room With A View

Yesterday, before the rain came to L.A., Nibs hung out on the balcony of his hotel room. Teddy asked him when he was going to come home (after all, the conference did end Friday!) but he just said, "Soon, soon," and left it at that.

The truth was Nibs was happy to take a break from all things Teddy, like making her coffee every morning. At the hotel, he simply had to pick up his cup o' Joe at the Starbucks in the lobby. Easy peasy!

But with that said, Nibs started to wonder how Teddy was coping. She can't really do much for herself. Is she OK? Is she eating?

Feeling a little guilty that he had pretty much run away for a few days, Nibs decided to call Teddy again...

Nibs Hotels It

Nibs had a financial planning conference to attend in Century City this afternoon. The festivities run until the wee hours. Instead of commuting he decided to spend the night at The Century Plaza hotel. Teddy has been driving him nuts with this Edward/Fopsie/Herbert love triangle. He needed a break!

Nibs has always liked The Century Plaza because it's big and comfortable. This is where many US Presidents have stayed for some reason. Maybe it's because the hotel is so central.

Nibs requested a suite with a view of the pool. The lady at the front desk was very nice about it and asked where he was visiting from. Nibs explained he was local but was basically taking a vacation from his wife. She understood.

Nibs took the elevator to the top floor where his suite was located. He couldn't wait to have a sound night's sleep! He likes Fopsie but he is looking forward to not hearing her name for the next 24 hours...
