Over the weekend, Nibs took Teddy to the all-organic restaurant Bloom on Pico Blvd. Nibs likes his food super fresh!
While looking over the menu, Teddy asked Nibs, "Have you heard from Fopsie lately? I haven't."
While sipping his mint lemonade, Nibs said, "Uh, no."
Teddy ordered the Japanese salad with tofu.
While Nibs dug into his cheeseburger with fries he asked Teddy, "Did you know Edward was back in town?"
Teddy almost fell off her chair! Maybe that's why Fopsie hasn't returned her calls!!!

Edward's Back In Town
September 17, 2010
Yesterday Fopsie got a call from Edward. He's back from Hong Kong. For good. Edward begged her to meet him at his pad for "a talk."
After she listened to how he didn't like Hong Kong because of the smog and overpopulation, he said, "Fops, I missed you greatly."
Fops was shocked. "But Edward, I already met someone new!" she told him. "A wonderful bear named Herbert. I'm so sorry. But it's too late for us." She was so nervous she kept eating the mini pretzels he had put out.
Edward said he was crushed, but that he understood. "If you ever split with Herbert, please give me a call," Edward said, and he gave her a sad hug goodbye.
Fopsie's heart was heavy. She never expected this turn of events. Should she tell Teddy?

Nibs Has A Stomach Ache
September 16, 2010
After Teddy served her special orzo, Nibs woke up with a bad stomach ache.
Teddy said she felt fine and that there was no way Nibs' tummy could be hurting that badly.
Nibs said he would be staying in bed all day. The only thing that made him feel better was rubbing his poor belly.
Nibs wishes Teddy wouldn't cook again. He also wonders if Herbert and Fopsie got sick too.

The Big Dinner
September 15, 2010
Teddy had Fopsie and Fopsie's new beau Herbert over for dinner to see for herself how they got along. After all, Herbert is Teddy's cousin and she wants to make certain he is treating her friend well. Teddy worked hard to come up with the evening's meal: orzo in a marinara sauce with peas and Parmesan cheese.
Nibs was afraid to try the meal as Teddy is a hazardous cook, as in sometimes she uses sugar instead of salt (!).
Teddy noticed how happy Fops and Herbert seemed. Herbert was the perfect gentleman and kept telling Fops how pretty she looked.
After dinner Teddy served coffee and cookies in the living room.
Teddy couldn't believe how cuddly and cute Fops and Herbert were.
She asked Nibs why they weren't like that! Nibs just shook his head. That Teddy. Always getting crazy!

Guess Who's Coming To Dinner
September 13, 2010
During their morning walk today Teddy asked Fopsie how Herbert was. Teddy wants to make super sure that her British cousin is treating her friend with utmost respect.
Fops said greaaaaaaaaaaat! Teddy wanted to make certain with her own eyes so she told Fops to come over for dinner tonight with Herbert.
What to cook? Teddy will have to run to the grocery store now. Never a quiet moment for that bear!

Bears Love Berries
September 10, 2010
Teddy's doctor told her to eat something besides pastries. Nibs recommended fruit because it's healthy but yet sweet. So Teddy tried her paw at a homemade fruit salad, bear-style.
She started by pouring already-chopped pieces of mango into a large, pleasant-looking bowl (ugly bowls make the fruit taste bad).
Next she cut strawberries into little pieces. Nibs told her to be extra careful with that knife! He didn't want her to slice her paw.
Now for the more exotic berries (yes, bears do love berries!). Teddy sprinkled her salad with raspberries and blueberries. Oh, and big, juicy Concord grapes.
Voila! Teddy was done. She asked Nibs where the chocolate dipping sauce was and he just sighed. That Teddy, always with the chocolate!
What will you be making this weekend?

Hello Camarillo!
September 9, 2010
On the way home from Santa Barbara, Teddy made Nibs stop at the Camarillo Outlets off the 101 Highway.
Teddy cannot pass up a deal, ever! Can you blame her?
There were all kinds of end-of-summer deals at this massive outlet that has everything from a Saks Fifth Avenue shop to a sunglasses store.
Only two hours in Nibs said, "That's it, I'm done! No more shopping!"
Teddy was NOT pleased, but she managed to use her fine negotiating skills to talk Nibs into waiting at least another 45 minutes for Teddy to finish up her shopping.
Nibs caved in, allowing Teddy to make at least one wonderful purchase at Villery & Boch. Soon they were on their way back to L.A. in the Benz Teddy so memorably scratched just weeks ago...
