Donut Fridays!

When Teddy and Nibs were newlyweds they started a tradition: donut Fridays. For eons Nibs lapsed on this wonderful idea. But today he remembered it! That Nibs really pulls through sometimes.


Buying a dozen is a bit excessive, no? But Teddy was appreciative. She started with a chocolate donut. Notice I said started. She's not going to have just one!

Duke's Rules

Another gorgeous day in L.A.! Go figure. After a downpour last night, the skies are sunny today. Teddy and Nibs headed to Malibu again, this time for a bite at Duke's on the Pacific Coast Highway.


Duke was a big time surfer in Hawaii. He's a legend in the surfing world. Check out his board. Old school.


Teddy liked how they had a "Shirt Shack" in the entrance area. Nifty. Shop + eat = a perfect day.


Nibs has been on a diet (!) so he ordered the shrimp appetizer.


Teddy had the Hula Pie, which is basically Oreo cookie crust with vanilla ice cream, chocolate sauce and whipped cream. Teddy is clearly not on a diet. Why should she be? Aren't teddy bears supposed to be a little pudgy? Teddy isn't sure what's gotten into Nibs. Has he gone L.A.? Next thing you know he'll be getting a personal trainer. Egad!


Tomorrow is Friday! Yeah! Teddy is already planning the weekend in her head.

Life's a Beach With Nibs!

Hanging out at the beach wouldn't be any fun without Nibs. Though they didn't see any whales, Nibs was clever at spotting dolphins. There were dozens!


Teddy used her claw to make Nibs a sand engraving. He liked the heart and praised Teddy's artistic skills.


While Nibs made a sandcastle Teddy got her sunbathing in. She never burns! Um, maybe that's because she has fur? Just sayin'...


Teddy got her exercise in by chasing seagulls. The seagulls weren't too happy about it.


All in all, it was a very bear-able afternoon. How was yours?

Malibu Dreams

It's 30 degrees in New York City today, but in Malibu it's a wondrous 70 degrees. Teddy took advantage of the warm weather (while it lasts). It's supposed to rain tomorrow!


She contemplated dipping her paw in the ocean but, brrrr, it looked too cold! Bears really don't like to get their fur wet. Well, maybe grizzles do. But certainly not teddy bears.

Deep Fried Twinkies? Yup!

Last night Teddy and Nibs were in the mood for some easy eats so they stopped by Locals on Pico Blvd.


They were surprised that almost every item on the menu was fried!


Nibs had the Fish N Chips with sweet potato fries. Hello Lipitor!


For dessert Teddy ordered the Deep Fried Twinkies. Yes she did! Surprise, surprise. They were delicious!


Teddy couldn't stop at ONE dessert. She also asked for the Fried Bananas with ice cream. Very tasty.


Locals was loud and fun and bad for you and a great time. Check it out! The cross street is Hauser.

Macy's One Day Sale!

On Saturday Macy's held a One Day Sale. The prices were ridiculously great.


Teddy of course checked it out. She went to the Macy's at the Westside Pavilion where she filmed her smash hit YouTube video "Teddy At Da Mall."


Teddy needed some household stuff so she hit the top floor first.


The champagne glasses sure were pretty... and 30% off!


Teddy was tickled pink by this Kitchen Aid mix-master. What a delightful hue... if your name is Barbie.


Teddy bought so much stuff (towels, wine glasses), that she needed someone to help her to her car! What will Nibs say?
